Keto Menu, Pigs & Wolf and Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf

As the Low Carb High Fat lifestyle gains more public awareness, there are more and more dining options available in Klang Valley. A word of caution though, not everything that is tagged “keto” is completely compliant. Unfortunately, there are many service providers who just want to jump on the bandwagon without doing thorough research about what is acceptable and what isn’t. Not with the outlets I’m about to share with you though. The Pigs & Wolf, also known as Three Little Pigs and The Big Bad Wolf is probably the first restaurant group that does a proper Keto menu which hits the correct macros (clearly displayed macronutrients on the menu).

I have tried out a few of the dishes when they first launched and loved them:

Keto Mummy Piggy Salad: Fatty Pork Belly, Greens, Avocado, Sesame and Sunflower seeds and a Keto Chili Dressing. Can’t go wrong with pork belly in a salad!

Triple Cheese Roast Pork Egg Souffle. Another great dish on the menu I’d gladly have everyday.

Who designed the menu? Introducing Charine Kuan, a well-known keto coach in the community who has embarked on Keto lifestyle since mid 2017 and since then has also launched her own Keto food business. She developed a comprehensive menu for the restaurant and the response has been pretty good so far. So now it’s time to expand the menu, which means even better news for us!

I have personally reviewed Pig & Wolf Pavilion pre-keto and actually like the food there. This is, therefore, a great place to bring your pork-loving friends no matter the diet choices. But today we are going to take a look at some of the new keto dishes available.

Strawberry Salad. With Strawberries, Mixed Coral, Kalamata Olives, Feta Cheese, Walnut and a Drizzle of Olive Oil Dressing. Colourful and appetising, this is great for sharing. I’d even look at it as “dessert”.

Salmon is well-known to be fatty and a good source of fat and protein for us. Here it’s paired with Cauli Mash and a delicious Lemon Butter Sauce. The skin is crispy, the flesh is flaky, and the cauli mash is rather comforting. Perfect combination!

Iberico Pork Chop with Super Spices. Simply pan-fried, but packed with flavours. I love how aromatic it is.

Our favourite dish was, however, the Butter Fish with Cauli Rice. The butter curry gravy is seriously addictive. I love how their cauli rice retains just a slight crunch, perfect vessel for that sauce. The fish (dory) has a contrasting texture too as it’s fried to a crisp. Would gladly have this meal again!

If you want extra fat to be delivered, you can also try out their Bulletproof Coffee or Latte. Keto friendly Milkshake and Smoothie available too for those who need a sweeter finish.

Here is the complete Keto Menu for you to check out! I shall also mention the crazy booze deal there: Wine at RM9 per glass! I think that has to be the cheapest in town, hehe.

This is wonderful! I wish that more restaurants would add a keto section to their menu or have dishes that can be easily customized for customers who observe the keto diet.
