Nivea Stress Protect and Giveaways

There are very few things less attractive than unslightly sweat stains on your blouse/shirt (unless you are at a gym or similar settings), and body odour often tops the list of pet peeves of the general public. It goes without saying that a deodorant is considered an essential for people living in hot climate. But did you know that there is also a difference between normal heat sweating and stress sweating?

Let me give you an example: You received a phone call from a guy that you have had a crush on for a while asking you out for a date. Or, you are about to walk into the interview room for a job that you really wants to get. Can you picture it in your head yet? Your heart beats a little faster, there are butterflies in your tummy, and most likely you would start to sweat a little bit more too. And this, my friend, is called stress sweating. Let me break it down for you:

Heat Sweating– This is considered normal sweating as a result of physical activities, your body’s’ attempts to regulate its temperature, occurs all over the body .This type of sweating builds up over time.

Stress Sweating– Caused by Hormones in stressful situations, triggered by flight or fight reaction. Leading to stronger body odor, primarily occurs in armpits, forehead and palms at a stronger level.

Introducing the NIVEA Stress Protect Deodorant, specifically designed and tested to combat stress sweating.

NID BW & Stress Protect Group shot

Nivea has been dominating the deodorant market for many years, and this time, it has successfully identified an unique antibacterial formula that combines three ingredients: Stress Protect Actives, avocado oil and a zinc complex to that provides extra protection even in stressful situations and safeguards against underarm wetness and body odor.

The deodorant is available for both men and women, and the formulas are proven to minimize sweat by up to 85% and significantly reduce the formation of body odor. It’s also comforting (especially for us ladies) to know that the formula avocado oil cares mildly for the underarm skin. Skin tolerance has been dermatologically proven and the formula does not alcohol or colorants.

So far, Nivea Stress Protect is first of its kind to be launched in the market, and you can choose to use either the Spray, Roll-on or Stick (only 2 of above are featured here though), whichever rocks your boat.

Oh, here’s a rather entertaining video demonstrating stress sweating.

Verdict

I received a set of the male and female deodorant and gave them a road test. Well, the male ones for Frank anyway. While the Male version has a stronger “manly” scent, I do like the lingering floral scent of the women deodorant. The effect is definitely long lasting (in fact it is supposed to last up to 48 hours!). The roll on does take a little longer to dry as compared to the spray though. The best thing about this product is that it doesn’t leave a white mark on my clothes, as the deodorant leaves a sheer coating on my skin that is barely visible. It definitely feels gentle on my skin. Perfect! And of course, I won’t be the only one reaping the benefits. *wink*

  1. Working in the banking industry constantly give me stress on go. I believe with Nivea Stress Protect, I will be more relaxed when I am out for marketing with my clients. With Nivea, I can now look and feel better 🙂

  2. Biggest stress at the moment…?
It is school holiday and the prospect of having the kids at home for 7 weeks and planning for their activities can be really stressful.
However, there is always Nivea to take charge of the stressful situation and brings out the magic moments!!!

  3. My biggest stress at the moment is courting the girl of my dreams. At this phase of chasing after a girl, i need every ounce of confidence boosting that I can get. Nivea Stress Protect would be what i need to minimize sweating and body odour formation. Thank you Nivea, thank you Kelly.

  4. Hi Kelly,

My biggest stress moment is getting a last minute cake order late in the evening, for the following day, which I agree to. Then finding out I don’t have all the ingredients and have to rush out first thing in the morning to buy whatever’s missing. Dash home, start baking from scratch and hope and pray the cake cools down in time so that I can decorate and box it up before the dreaded doorbell goes, and it’s the customer on my doorstep wanting their cake.

  5. My stress moment would be having presentation for a huge class, around hundreds people.Although I have done practicing it for many times in front of mirror, but still feel nervous and stressful when it came to the real situation.
