The Pinnacle of Hennessy Artistry

Something exciting is upon us again! That’s right, the finale of the famous Hennessy Artistry will be taking place at the Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC) in Mines Resort City this 3 November 2012 from 8.30pm onwards. If you have missed out on the previous H-Artistry, you should definitely check this one out.

Over 3,500 party people are expected to fill the place. Apart from the signature Hennessy Art of Mixing Zone featuring the Hennessy 360 Cam, there will be plenty of Hennessy V.S.O.P with your favourite mixers.

Berry, Ginger, Apple, or Soda? My favourite is Soda for the Ultimate Hennessy Experience.

If you have the MY Hennessy Mobile App, you can get rewarded with perks and benefits (such as Hennessy V.S.O.P. bottles and bespoke My Hennessy Night party experiences) while you take part in various activities within the Hennessy Art of Mixing Zone.

Oh, do check out the Hennessy 360 Cam. This one was taken few months ago during another Hennessy event.

Well, I’m sure you all want to know who would be taking the stage for this installment of H-Artistry. I’m particularly excited about Alexandra Burke who’s the Winner of X Factor and UK’s R&B darling. This will be the second time I get to see Australian DJ vixen Havana Brown (last time being Britney Spears’ Melbourne Concert).  In the boys department, we have K-Pop boy band heartthrobs Block B, and Las Vegas’ edgiest DJ Starkillers a.k.a. Nick Terranova.

Ultra-talented Alexandra Burke

“I’m not super human, I’m just Alexandra from North London,” says Alexandra Burke, the 2008 winner of The X Factor, a three-time chart-topper on the singles chart (her debut, a stirring cover of Hallelujah which I really love, sold 105,000 copies on its first day of release) and the creator of a UK number 1 album. Not only she’s great with ballads, she excels in uptempo hits with great energy. Her latest album “Heartbreak On Hold” wraps lyrical sadness in songs that make you want to dance. From the frustrated stomp of first single Elephant – a sad song written about a stalling relationship to throw-your-cares-away dance rush of second single Let It Go, Heartbreak On Hold is an album that acknowledges the hard times but offers a window of opportunity for people to forget about it all. Needless to say, she will be sensational when she performs for us at MIECC.

DJ Havana Brown, Ooh-lala!

DJ Havana Brown is the only female DJ to be signed to a major label recording deal in Australia. The multiple releases of her Crave compilation series have all been charting, spurning successful national and international club tours. DJ Havana Brown has since put out some hugely successful tracks, such as the euphoric track “We Run The Night” ft. Pitbull. She can be heard over major Radio networks in Australia and France too, and has supported for Lady Gaga, The Pussycat Dolls and Rihanna, not to mention a score of exclusive VIP parties and concerts from the official Grammy’s After Party in Los Angeles alongside WILL.I.AM and Paris Hilton’s New Years Eve Party. Watch her has she “Runs the Night” at H-Artistry next weekend.

Formerly known as Nick Terranova, Las Vegas talent Starkillers has proved that he can go the distance in the increasingly competitive dance music scene, with his tough-edged, eclectic sound. Blending big hooks and riffs, soaring vocals, thumping beats and mind-bending effects trickery, his sound is the perfect blend of high-octane, fierce energy and accessible appeal. It’s truly at home amidst the contemporary sound of cutting-edge dance music. Check out one of his works:

Block B

K Pop fans, rejoice! Block B is one of the hottest K-Pop group right now since their debut last tear. 3 successful records under their belts (New Kids On The Block, Welcome To The Block and Do You Wanna B, Block B), Block B is known as one of the more unique K-Pop bands for their originality, talent and attitude. Be sure to expect them performing their massive Hits like Nanrina, Halo, Going Crazy and Wanna B.

I heard that there won’t be any parking at the venue though, but don’t fret as there will be FREE Party Shuttle (check out for more details) and subsidized H-Artistry Party Taxi services (Visit or call 1300 800 222 to book your ride). So you can party hard and party smart! Don’t even need to worry about a designated driver, brilliant!

There will be complimentary mineral water provided throughout the night, as well as food stalls (lok lok, burgers, you name it!) outside the venue for everyone to recharge during and after the event.

The MHB with Founder Tim Chew as the last Hennessy Artistry

Ever since I’ve moved to Kuala Lumpur, I have not missed any Hennessy Artistry, it’s definitely one of my favourites!

Check out the crowd as Eva Simmons rocked the house down (Sept 2012)

Tempted yet? To win invites (still a couple of days more to go!), simply log on to: or download the MY Hennessy App NOW from the App Store or Google Play onto your iOS and Android devices. This event is open to non-Muslims above the age of 18 only.

I loved Alexandra Burke when she was in the competition. Her rendition of “Hallelujah” was simply the best. Too bad, have not heard of her since…unlike others like Leona Lewis…or even Shayne Ward.
